From a small artisan workshop to global industry

Main milestones

1953

Vicente Alegre establishes Talleres Almar, marking the start of Industrias Alegre

1966

The company starts producing plastic injection moulding parts under the Valeplast brand name

1971

Our excellence in production attracts the automotive industry and we start making parts for SEAT and SIMCA

1980

Our relationship with Ford starts with us supplying interior linings for the Fiesta model. Later, Citroën and General Motors become clients

1990

Ford recognises our work of the highest quality by awarding us the Q1 Certificate

2005

We receive Ford's international distinction as a "Full Service Supplier" and its Silver Award Excellence

2006

Ford includes us as suppliers for all its models. Starting with the Mondeo - its first global car; then the Focus, Kuga and C-Max models

2006

We start expanding globally in response to our customers' trust in us. First stop, Poland. In 2011 and 2015 we doubled our international presence with expert local partners in India and Mexico

2009

We start remodelling our facilities in Albal (Valencia) with a €3m investment. As a second stage, in 2012, we refurbished the headquarters and façade

2014

New 4500 m2 injection plant in Albal, with new high tonnage presses - one, 2300 tonnes; and two others: 1500 and 1800 tonnes

2015

We expand our offices by 1200 m2 and continued to expand in 2018 with two new warehouses close to our existing ones in Albal

2016

Our Silesia Plastic JV was dissolved in December 2015 and our new 100% IA-owned plant in Poland, Industrias Alegre Poland S.P.z.o.o., has been in operation since March 2017

2020

New Industrias Alegre Group organisational structure and management team refreshed
