Last Friday, September 19, we at Industrias Alegre experienced a day that we will never forget. After months of collective effort to overcome the consequences of the flood that paralyzed our plant in Albal, we celebrated the reactivation of our facilities with a big party where we gathered with workers, families, customers, suppliers, and volunteers.
It is September 2025 and our plant in Almussafes (Valencia) is in full production after the catastrophic flood of October 2024. We have rebuilt this plastic injection molding factory, a benchmark in the automotive industry, in record time. We have gone from mud to efficiency in less than a year and have been reborn with new equipment, improved facilities, and optimized processes. And all this has been possible thanks to a committed team that has set an amazing example of industrial resilience and commitment to customers. A team that allows us to say that today we are better prepared for the future.
Industrias Alegre has gone from mud to efficiency in less than a year. In just a few months, tons of mud were removed and the plant was improved while ensuring supply to customers. We discussed all these challenges with our CEO, who gave an honest and combative assessment: turning a calamity into an improvement plan.
Last August, Néstor Gil Fernández celebrated ten years at our Albal plant, the last of which he spent as head of maintenance and process engineering. His experience has been key to the reconstruction. But even more so has been his attitude and commitment.
